this situation seems to bring us close to science.

the real is only that which intersects again.
departing from an uncertain common point in a given experience, beyond experience, towards the conditions of experience.  experience offers us nothing but composites; 1. a polygon with a growing number of sides; 2. awareness of ignorance: the problem, the hypothesis, the procedure, the results, the conclusion; 3. independent & dependent variables.
truth will be reached if 2 can be prolonged to the point where they intersect, converging again to give us the distinct reason for the common point. we know nothing, but this method of intersection is the only one which can bring about a decisive advance.
