void communication: the medium & the real

communication  /vɔɪd kəˌmyu nɪˈkeɪ ʃən/: mutual understanding via non-psychological reality

“We produce electricity at every moment, the atmosphere is continually electrified, we move among magnetic currents, yet for thousands of years millions of human beings have lived who never suspected the existence of electricity. We might very well have gone on without perceiving it, and it may be that this is now our case with…”
–Henri Bergson, Mind Energy

Networks no longer function exclusively in one direction.  The receiver has some capacity to ‘send’ to the transmitter, to connect with others and share information almost infinitely. Noise is part of the signal, an augmentation of that which it wants to conceal– truth is indecipherable.  Appearances replace the need for sense.

We assimilate.

We are defined by the functions we fulfill through our interactions within the network of distortion. Noise prohibits us from hearing the noise of the disappearing difference.

We leave psychology altogether.

The re-purposing of communication, the staging of communication and meaning, makes possible the transcendence of sense.  It is only then that sense is actualized into psychological perception.

We become the medium & the real.

Some minds are able to communicate without any visible intermedium.  It is possible that this is operating at every moment and everywhere.  There remains the question of control.  Suppose this phenomenon were due to the action of the consciousness of one person on the consciousness of the other.

Are we near to or far away from our conscience?
